As a Systems Administrator, you'll be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing our computer systems, ensuring their reliable operation around the clock. Your duties will include:
- Providing Tier 2/3 support for Unix/Windows workstations and servers, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and resolution of technical issues.
- Collaborating with both on-site and remote users to coordinate upgrades and resolve trouble calls promptly.
- Conducting routine and emergency maintenance of data center equipment, ensuring system integrity and reliability.
- Implementing operating system enhancements and software upgrades to improve performance.
- Contributing to the development and testing of backup and recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
- Ensuring system security compliance with STIG guidelines and utilizing tools such as Retina and HBSS.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Security certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent within 90 days of hire.
- TS/SCI Clearance and eligibility to obtain CI Poly.
- Experience in UNIX, Windows, and/or storage administration.
- Ability to respond to after-hours calls and provide on-call support as needed.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment as necessary (up to 40 pounds).
While not mandatory, the following skills would be advantageous:
- Experience in the imagery intelligence domain.
- Proficiency in scripting languages on Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems.
- Familiarity with database administration and network configuration management.
- Knowledge of Window Server, Red Hat, IRIX, Solaris, Sybase, Informix, SQL, and Imagery Production Chain.
