Key Role:
Install Linux and Windows OS and configure in the network. Understand all facets of the physical and virtual architecture needed to provide expert guidance in providing solutions needed based on the program requirements. Apply advanced consulting skills, provide extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge, develop innovative solutions to complex problems, work without considerable direction, and support Windows and Linux systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration. Use your passion to learn new skills and techniques while helping to identify and implement solutions and improvements. Leverage experience in architecting lab and enterprise networks. Recommend, build, and manage solutions and architectures to evolve into Enterprise Cyber infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of experience in an IT role working on Red Hat or Oracle Linux, Windows Server, Oracle OVM, or VMWare administrative activities with a focus on security implementation
Experience automating, installing, configuring, administrating, patching, and security hardening COTS and open-source applications, including operating systems
Experience writing Linux scripts using bash, csh, and ksh
Experience configuring and administering storage technologies and solutions, including SAN and NAS, from multiple vendors
Experience encrypting data both at the server and storage level
Experience with multiple networking setups, including cabling, switching, and routing
Ability to support on-call rotation schedule for a 24/7 production system
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in security related activities, including designing, hardening, and implementation of latest security standards
Experience using security tools, including Splunk, Nessus, Snort, and Solar Winds
Experience in implementation of security principles, including Zero Trust Architecture, CIS benchmarks, and security controls for Linux operating systems and virtual environments, including OVM or VMware
Experience installing, configuring, and managing database and application servers
Experience operating across multiple tasks, working independently, and contributing to deliverables and performance metrics
Experience in an on-call rotation providing after hours support for production environments
Experience in virtualized environments, including VMware and Oracle Virtual Manager as a Linux system administrator, including supporting a large enterprise
Experience in SDLC support using tools such as Jenkins or patch deployment using Linux and Windows tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including Windows 2008 and higher, Linux or UNIX operating systems, storage and backup technologies, and SCCM patch management solutions
Knowledge of the systems engineering process (SEP), and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
