*** Job location: on site @ 77 Hot Metal Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 - hybrid work schedule (2-3 days office / 2-3 days home)
Staff Accountant :
-Support the Accounting Department duties with emphasis on general ledger management, preparation of account reconciliations, and journal entry postings, as well as special projects.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process
- Analyze financial transactions and balances to ensure that they are appropriately recorded in the general ledger
- Prepare and review routine recurring and non-recurring journal entries
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of key internal reporting
- Prepare required documentation for financial audits and reviews
- Assist in maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- 1-3 years’ experience in corporate accounting or equivalent public accounting experience
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products
- Ideally experience with Infor / Lawson software and with Trintech Cadency software for reconciliation and journal entry software experience preferred
