Responsibilities

Network Engineer I

A Network Engineer I will focus primarily on removing obstacles for customers. Your average day will consist of troubleshooting issues and executing change requests for existing customers. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Follow a standard change control process requiring peer and manager approval.
• Consistently maintain customer expectations and deliverables. 
• Effectively identify escalation improvement opportunities between Synoptek teams will be another key performance metric.
• Participate on a rotational on-call schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• ITIL, CCNA (R&S, Security, Collaboration Fortinet)
• 4 years technical experience
• 2 years position specific experience
• 1 years mentorship/leadership
• 1 years project, client and customer engagement
• Basic understanding of routing and switching in non-standard/ complex deployment environments
• Experience with multiple network technologies (routing, switching, wireless, circuits)
• Proficient Firewall/security experience (access control list (ACL) management, secure remote management practices, IDS, etc.
• Working knowledge in access technologies such as LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS.
