Network Engineer

The Networking Engineer is responsible for the successful delivery of complex technology-enabled projects and services to Mid-Market and Enterprise customers. The Networking Engineer will work with clients throughout the solution lifecycle to plan, design and deploy technology solutions that meet aggressive delivery schedules, complex technical specifications, and high-level requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Proficiency in staging equipment in a lab environment and conducting functionality tests.
2. Ability to take lab-based environment lessons and apply to a 24/7 production network with low tolerance for downtime.
3. Excellent collaboration skills, capable of effectively communicating with various stakeholders including Cisco, customers, engineers, project management, and leadership.
4. Strong communication abilities to report progress and engineering outcomes, as well as to articulate issues and recommend solutions promptly.
5. Expertise in troubleshooting Layer 1-3 network issues efficiently.
6. Cisco campus networking experience at a CCNP level.
7. Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center is highly desirable.
8. Knowledge of network security principles, particularly with Palo Alto firewalls, is desirable.
9. Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule, including night-time implementation cutovers for deploying project solutions.
