QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering-related fields;
• 3 years of experience with GMP, Continuous Improvement, LEAN Mfg, 6 Sigma, World Class Manufacturing;
• 3 years of experience with and proficiency in Solid Works, Business Intelligence, and IBM Cognos;
• ERP knowledge and 3 years of experience with it (SAP, AS400 or SAGE);
• 3 years of experience with and strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
• 3 years of experience with solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists;
• 3 years of experience with interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form;
• 3 years of experience with applying specific theories and principles that one would learn most effectively through a targeted degree program for engineers;
• 3 years of experience with recommending modifications to equipment or the design process to achieve greater results and eliminate future malfunction and production bottlenecks;

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• CAPEX/Project Management:

Project management duties for any construction project in the organization;

Manage and coordinate multiple simultaneous projects;

Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems;

Maintain positive budgets on assigned projects;

Direct GC, subcontractor, internal resource communications at all phases of the project;

Manage equipment delivery schedules for new construction;

Build and report on budgets and timelines for all projects;

Present project timelines, updates, and budgets to upper-level leadership;

Utilize AutoCad for plant design, layout, and construction;

Negotiation;

Contract management;

• Controls and Automation Engineering Management:

Work with equipment automation;

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering and technology, mechanics, mathematics, and computers and electronics, as well as in programming Human Machine Interface and Programmable Logic Controllers including Allen Brady or GEFanuc;

Utilize strong proficiency in diagnostics and repair of mechanical, electrical, freezer/refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, building structure, and material handling equipment systems;

Utilize full range of experience with motors, controls, pumps, conveyors, fans, pneumatics, micro switches, breakers & switches, wiring controls, power circuits, sensors, starters, and common control devices;

Read schematic drawings and troubleshoot/program PLCs; Work with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and the team of maintenance engineers and technicians;

Develop inventory schedules for spare parts;

Assist in setting up maintenance departments, inventories, and preventative maintenance schedules for new plants;

Standardize CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) between all facilities;

Apply theory and principles of mechanical engineering to modify, test, and keep machinery and other mechanically functioning equipment such as refrigeration, grinding, and other productions equipment used at plant in good working order;

Support and mentor on a variety of industrial machines to include combo dumpers, conveyor belts, metal detectors, augers, grinders, blenders, scales, and F-6 F-26PLC Forming Machine known as the Formax;

Analyze performance specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the cost and maintenance requirements of our equipment;

Evaluate and investigate equipment failures to make proper maintenance recommendations;

Confer with maintenance and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information as needed;

Perform strength, sizing calculations, or other analytical techniques as needed in the design or modification of packaging equipment;

Improve productivity by performing evaluations and assist with upstream;

• Maintenance Management:

Develop maintenance KPIs;

Develop maintenance training programs;

Lead specifications;

Assess the safety and efficiency of machine operations including mechanical, electrical, systems, and any other related equipment;

Provide team support for on and off hour emergency response including equipment repair, stabilizing damages, and calling in additional support personnel as needed;

Be an advocate for safety within the plant;

• All other tasks appointed by the and downstream flow analysis;

Work with operation leaders to ensure that equipment meets required specifications;

Assess the safety and efficiency of machine operations including mechanical, electrical, systems, and any other related equipment;

Provide team support for on and off hour emergency response including equipment repair, stabilizing damages, and calling in additional support personnel as needed;
