Position Title: Manager Engineering

Position Location: 100% remote reporting to: 654 Richland Hills Dr., San Antonio, TX 78245

Summary of Duties: Lead execution and delivery of an agile software delivery team, building new features and enhancing existing ones. Develop solid architecture for features, justifying alternatives, and getting sign off from leadership team. Perform advanced-level analysis, design, development, unit testing and coding activities for mobile and backend solutions. Provide input and feedback to team on topics of architecture, quality, user experience, and requirements. Research and implement new technologies, framework, and processes. Mentor, coach, and motivate team of software engineers to organize work, breakdown tasks, and ship software. Collaborate with onshore teams and responsible for leading an onshore/offshore technical team to deliver common technical and architectural solutions for assigned portfolio under development. Participate in defining and delivering application systems, subsystems, and interfaces; validate technology assumptions; and evaluate alternatives. Actively execute development and maintenance of applications and microservices supporting online and digital commerce initiatives. Align solutions, releases, and sprints consistent with program and project delivery cadence. Ensure practical and implementable alignment with organization and enterprise technological and architectural vision. Understand solution context and actively collaborate with teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure alignment. Use both traditional and agile delivery models to understand and manage complexities of large-scale solution development. Work closely with other offshore and onsite development and QA resources to develop and deliver a high-quality product.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study and 8 years of progressive experience delivering software and solutions for enterprise commerce applications. Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study and 6 years of experience delivering software and solutions for enterprise commerce applications in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8 years of progressive experience.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

8 years (6 years with a Master’s) working with .NET, Xamarin technologies; 5 years working with Native mobile applications and technologies; 5 years of experience supporting commerce applications in a production environment; 5 years of experience delivering technical projects using Agile Scrum and Kanban; 5 years of experience with CI-CD tools (such as Azure DevOps, GitHub actions or Jenkins); 5 years of experience with any REST API technologies (such as .NET Core, Python); 5 years of experience with Cloud technologies (such as Azure or AWS); 3 years of project management and technical leadership experience; and 3 years of experience working with offshore technology vendors.

Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.

SALARY: The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

$132,579 - $195,500/year. Exact rate of pay will be based on position, location, and experience level.
