Job purpose

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop short- and long-term marketing and sales strategy planning, to include increasing sales coverage to present accounts, as well as targeting new accounts.
• Assist in the establishment of the sales budget and assume responsibility for keeping sales expenses within approved guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of a sales forecast that will achieve the desired profit level for the growth of Sunset Farm Foods, Inc. as well as serve as production planning.
• Assist in the development of new accounts to improve sales growth.
• Prepare for and attend trade shows and distributor meetings.
• Assist in the selection of monthly deals for promotion to increase our sales volume.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the sales program for each area, taking corrective action in those areas that are not meeting the sales and budget goals.
• Enter-into negotiations with customers for promotions sponsored by the company each month.
• Visit stores to encourage the purchase of additional Sunset Farm products.

• Other duties assigned as required.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Administrative, record-keeping and computing skills are essential.
• Attention to detail to enter customers’ requests accurately. 
• Excellent customer service skills to deal with customers’ inquiries or complaints.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility with schedule (meet customer needs). 

Physical requirements

• Required regularly to drive, stand, walk and speak.
• Occasionally this position requires the person to stoop, kneel or lift max. of 30 lbs.
