Job Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the store runs smoothly. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Assist the Store Manager in managing all aspects of store operations
- Supervise and train team members to ensure they provide outstanding customer service
- Oversee inventory control and stock management to optimize product availability
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Manage payroll and scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement effective marketing initiatives
- Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to team members
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Experience:
- Previous experience in a retail management role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of retail sales principles and practices
- Proficient in inventory control and management
- Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in retail math calculations, including calculating discounts, margins, and percentages
