Summit Community Care Clinic is Hiring a SBHC Director Near Frisco, CO

The SBHC Director manages programs, projects, staff, grants, and budgets for the six school-based health centers and six feeder sites. The Director is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with school district administration, school staff, and community partners in Lake, Park, and Summit Counties.

Essential Functions:

  • Acts as the communication and operational liaison between Summit School District, Lake County School District, Park County RE-2 School District, SCCC and community partners in all three districts and associated schools.
  • Organizes and manages space, schedules, logistics, and staff for all three districts and associated schools.
  • Works with the Marketing Department on the creation and dissemination of marketing material for SBHC.
  • Collaborates with the Grant Department to support SBHC related grants and projects.
  • Manages the CDPHE SBHC grant budget, personnel, projects, and trainings to ensure grant deliverables are met.
  • Facilitates Community Advisory Councils including organizing the meetings, acting as the liaison with community agencies to promote the SBHC, and coordinating completion of action items.
  • Organizes and attends school district meetings at each site.
  • Participates in school events with site SBHC Team.
  • Presents annual reports to each district’s school boards.
  • Manages at minimum quarterly communication with district building administration.
  • Manages internal SBHC communication and facilitates monthly team meetings.
  • Represents Summit Community Care Clinic in the Youth Health Alliance and the National School Based Health Alliance.
  • Works closely with the Quality Director and Department Leaders on Quality Improvement activities for SBHC sites.
  • Facilitates participation with SBHC Team members for community outreach in Park, Lake, and Summit County School Districts
  • Manages the daily operation of all 7 SBHCs and associated schools.
  • Supervises SBHC Manager (see job description) who oversees SBHC Patient Service Representatives.
  • Organizes, coordinates, and works school registration events, back to school nights, immunization clinics, and other school/community events.

Additional Requirements:

  • Grants are a vital part of Care Clinic revenues and directly or indirectly support all positions. This role may have responsibilities that are closely associated with grant deliverables. Grants and grant responsibilities may change over time.
  • Complete all required training as designated by HR and the position supervisor.
  • Adhere to all policies within the organization and those outlined within the SCCC Employee Handbook.
  • Comply with all SCCC Vaccine Mandates.
  • Willingness to travel and work at other SCCC locations as determined by the supervisor.
  • Comply with all applicable Credentialing and Privileging requirements timely.
  • Embrace the SCCC Mission and Vision and agree to work within the SCCC Guiding Principles and the principles set by the position supervisor.
  • Must participate in quality assurance/ improvement activities when applicable.

Education/Experience:

Must Haves to be successful:

  • Minimum of BS/BA or MS/MA degree in health-related field, school related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in administering health promotion or prevention related programs in schools or community settings.
  • Experience facilitating collaborative partnerships.
  • Must have proven skills with management, people skills, etc. with exemplary performance recommendations regarding patient, peer & management interactions.
  • Must be self-motivated with career-oriented attitude to continuous improvement & development of personal skills and organizational goals.
  • Must pass Motor Vehicle Record Check.
  • Must be able to drive a personal vehicle for company purposes, possess a Colorado Driver’s License and insurance hold harmless, and indemnify Summit Community Care Clinic.
  • Extensive travel and variable non-traditional hours.
  • Critical level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Ability to be friendly and empathic regarding co-workers and patients.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with multiple linguistic variables.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and are self-directed.
  • Ability to reason objectively.

Nice to Haves:

  • Ability to speak the Spanish language preferred (bilingual).
  • Grant management and grant writing experience preferred.

Work Environment:

The work environment is in a healthcare setting and can be fast paced and involves communication with patients and medical personnel. This role is highly clerical in nature.
