Overview: The Director of Product will be responsible for leading the product development and innovation efforts in the manufacturing sector. This role requires a strong background in engineering, design, mechanical engineering principles, technical programming, manufacturing programming, and expertise in 3D printing technologies.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Development:

   • Develop and execute the product strategy in alignment with company goals and market trends.
   • Lead the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring product excellence and market competitiveness.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales to drive product innovation and customer satisfaction.

2. Engineering and Design:

   • Oversee the engineering and design teams, providing guidance and direction in product design, prototyping, and testing.
   • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices in product development and manufacturing processes.
   • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, performance, and cost-efficiency.

3. Mechanical Engineering Aspects:

   • Apply mechanical engineering principles to optimize product designs for performance, durability, and manufacturability.
   • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical analyses to support product development decisions.
   • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to leverage advanced manufacturing technologies and materials.

4. Technical Programming and Manufacturing Programming:

   • Develop and implement technical programming solutions for automated manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, robotics, and assembly lines.
   • Optimize manufacturing programs to improve production efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
   • Ensure seamless integration of software systems for product design, engineering simulations, and production planning.

5. 3D Printing Expertise:

   • Lead the implementation of 3D printing technologies in product development and manufacturing.
   • Evaluate and select appropriate 3D printing techniques, materials, and equipment for prototyping and production.
   • Drive research and development initiatives to advance 3D printing capabilities and applications within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
• X years of experience in product development, engineering management, and manufacturing in the specific industry sector.
• Proficiency in technical programming languages (e.g., Python, C ) and CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 3D printing technologies and additive manufacturing techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
