Sumitomo Electric Group is Hiring an OEM Account Manager (B2B Electronics Sales) Near San Jose, CA

Sumitomo Electric U.S.A., Inc. is looking for an OEM Account Manager (B2B electronics sales) in San Jose, CA with a strong sales and marketing background in copper-based interconnect products such as micro-coaxial cables, cable assemblies, Flat Flexible Cables (FFCs), and Flexible Printed Circuits (FPCs) for consumer electronics market. This person will help increase our sales opportunities with existing customers and expand our business with new accounts. This person will also have accountability for the development, implementation, and execution of programs to achieve our business goals. We refer to this position internally as a Sales Executive.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with current and new customers (OEMs).
  • Maintain a personal level of product knowledge and competence in our product lines.
  • Provide and support sales and marketing activities for our copper-based interconnect products such as Flexible Printed Circuits (FPCs) for mobile devices, smart and other electronic devices.
  • Provide post-sale account management to customers to ensure successful and on-time product delivery.
  • Coordinate delivery schedule of new products with OEMs.
  • Negotiate pricing and allocations with customers.
  • Provide support to co-engineering between internal engineers and customers.
  • Travel (domestic and international) to meet with customers and OEMs.
  • Explore opportunities for new business development.
  • Responsible for complete and accurate ongoing maintenance of accounts, forecasts, proposals, and account activities.
  • Ensure contract generation and execution are completed within a reasonable timeframe.

Qualifications

  • Up to 5 years of experience in B2B sales, technical sales, and account management.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive-related devices, robotics, highspeed applications (data center), etc.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Team player with proven ability to manage by influence at executive levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Able to travel around 10%.
