Job Summary: As a Cashier at Sugo Pizza a Pezzi, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient transactions. Your responsibilities will include accurately processing orders, handling payments, and assisting customers with inquiries. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor to create a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

· Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.

· Assist customers with menu selections, providing information about specials, and answering inquiries.

2. Order Processing:

· Accurately input customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.

· Verify order details to ensure accuracy before finalizing transactions.

3. Cash Handling:

· Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately.

· Provide customers with correct change and receipts.

4. Menu Knowledge:

· Stay informed about the menu, including ingredients, prices, and current promotions.

· Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences.

5. Up-selling and Add-ons:

· Suggest additional items or upgrades to enhance the customer's order.

· Promote special deals or add-on items to increase sales.

6. Order Coordination:

· Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.

· Coordinate with the kitchen team for any special customer requests or modifications.

7. Cleanliness and Organization:

· Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.

· Ensure menus, promotional materials, and other items are well-organized and easily accessible.

8. Customer Relations:

· Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and escalate issues to the manager when necessary.

· Strive to create a positive and memorable experience for every customer.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or cashier role is preferred.
• Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is an advantage.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
