Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and design, coupled with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in retail management.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of retail associates, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure the team meets sales targets and delivers excellent customer service.
  • Motivate staff to achieve individual and team goals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Visual Merchandising:
  • Develop and implement visually appealing displays and layouts to showcase merchandise effectively and drive sales.
  • Ensure that the store's visual presentation aligns with brand standards and current trends, regularly refreshing displays to maintain a dynamic shopping environment.
• Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and product assortment, optimizing stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Coordinate home office planners & buyers to ensure timely replenishment of merchandise and maintain strong relationships.
• Customer Experience:
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service, actively engaging with customers to understand their needs, offer product recommendations, and resolve any inquiries or concerns.
  • Cultivate a loyal customer base through personalized interactions, promotions, and events, driving repeat business and fostering long-term relationships.
• Sales and Financial Management:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability, analyzing sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Implement effective pricing strategies, promotions, and markdowns to optimize sales performance while maintaining margin targets.
  • Manage the store budget, controlling expenses and monitoring key financial metrics to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all relevant regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security measures, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in retail management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of art, home goods, gifts, or jewelry industries, with a passion for creative products and design.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in inventory management & POS systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
