Description We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Computation Design Lead to join our team. The Computation Design Lead will play a crucial role in leveraging computational tools and techniques to drive design innovation, optimize processes, and deliver cutting-edge solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of computational design methodologies, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives. Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of computational design strategies and workflows to enhance design processes and outcomes. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to integrate computational tools and methodologies into project workflows and decision-making processes. Conduct research and experimentation with emerging technologies, algorithms, and software tools to explore new design possibilities and improve efficiency. Develop custom scripts, plugins, and automation tools using programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, Grasshopper) to streamline design tasks and data analysis. Perform complex parametric modeling, generative design, optimization, and simulation using computational design software (e.g., Rhino, Revit, Dynamo, Grasshopper). Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on computational design techniques, best practices, and software tools. Collaborate with project managers to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables related to computational design tasks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, computer science, or a related field. A master's degree or PhD in computational design is preferred. Proven experience in computational design, parametric modeling, generative design, and scripting. Strong proficiency in computational design software such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Dynamo, and related plugins. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, and experience with API integration for design software. Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) concepts, workflows, and interoperability with computational design tools. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
