Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Finance Director and will be responsible for monthly reporting, acting as the Concur Focal Point, serving as the Finance Focal Point for project cycles, and conducting audits and analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Month-end Close: Coordinate the month-end closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
• Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. Implement changes and initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of financial operations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, sales, and human resources, to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Finance Director. Contribute expertise and insights to cross-functional teams to drive business success.
• Tax Compliance: Assist in tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and provision calculations. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Financial Systems Management: Oversee the use and maintenance of financial software systems. Provide support and training to finance team members on system usage and best practices.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in financial performance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Expertise in using financial software and tools, including Concur or similar expense management systems.
  Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
