Strategic Security (SSC) is a nationwide leading provider of security guard services, executive protection, intelligence, consulting, investigative services. SSC has an immediate job opportunity for an entry level Assistant Recruiter in the Human Resources department to work in our Smithtown, NY office. Positions will be full time, paying from $20.50 Per Hour.
This position will entail scheduling interviews, sending offer letters, and making weekly scheduling adjustments based on the needs of our staff and management.

  • Recruitment of personnel for local accounts, following through from Applicant Tracking through Completion of Onboarding
  • Communicate and work closely with other SOC dispatchers and Account Manager on various HR issues and subject matter.
  • Maintenance of Human Resources Information Systems and Employee Scheduling Software
  • Recordkeeping and Documentation
  • Coordinating with management teams in all facets of the hiring and onboarding process
  • Assisting Management and Supervisory teams in utilizing HR Technology
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company benefits including medical, 401(k), PTO etc. and serve as a reference/employee resource
  • At the request of Management or senior leadership, conducting all or some facets of; Talent Acquisition and Recruitment including Employee Onboarding, I9 compliance, and verification of any required licenses or other eligibility.
  • Develop an understanding of company policy and culture, while contributing to and facilitating positive growth in those areas.

Qualifications


Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess exceptional computer skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Some college preferred

Experience Required

Verifiable work history if previously employed and must possess one or more of the following:

  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems preferred
  • Experience with scheduling software preferred
  • WinTeam experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with Indeed hiring tools preferred
