Strategic Business Systems (SBS) is Hiring a Senior Cloud Software Engineer Near Chantilly, VA

Our groundbreaking platform empowers mission owners to self-onboard, build, and secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) Impact Level (IL)-4/5 workloads within minutes, operating at the speed of commercial cloud while meeting the stringent requirements of the Government. The value of the COSMOS platform is to provide streamlined/automated ATO for IL-4/5 along with commercial experience to the government space.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Software Developer to contribute to the evolution of our platform. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS cloud development, Java programming, and the integration of third-party applications. If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of cloud technology and thrive in a dynamic, agile environment, we want you on our team. This role is expected to be onsite in Chantilly, VA the majority of the time.
Experience
- 5 years of AWS Cloud Development & Application Deployment experience.
- 7 years of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.js programming experience.
- 5 years of Agile development experience.
- Any experience automated integration of 3rd party applications: RegScale, Wiz, & ServiceNow.
**Infrastructure & Application Skills:**
- Proficiency in AWS CDK & CloudFormation for infrastructure & application deployment.
- Expertise in AWS Lambda and API Gateway for serverless application deployment & operations.
- Experience with AWS SSM Parameter Store, Secrets Manager usage within AWS Lambda applications.
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud integration with AWS Commercial account for Cloud Billing.
- Configuration & automated integration via REST API.
- Skill in ServiceNow configuration & automated integration via REST API.
- Hands on Experience with WIZ is a plus
**Software Language & Tools Proficiency:**
- Expertise in Java 11 development & operations, Maven builds, and GraalVM optimization.
- Proficiency in Node.js 18 development, container deployment & operations with Lambda.
- Strong capabilities in JavaScript/TypeScript development with Azure Entra SSO, Zod, TRPC, & Kysely.
- Experience in React.js UX design and UI development with Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Axios & TanStack.
- Proficient in PostgreSQL SQL query support & database maintenance.
**Certifications:**
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate (or comparable experience).
