Responsibilities

Responsibilties:

• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with your Agile development team to design and implement, test and deploy the next generation Extract Transform and Load Platform that supports vital operational and analytical missions.
• The ETL Platform will process petabytes of data annually to extract data from a myriad of formats including structured, unstructured, binary and text. You will use best of breed open source and commercial technologies such as Apache NiFi, Kafka, and AWS to implement your team’s solution against systems requirements. 
• You will create interfaces to various analysis tools as well as to other content enhancement applications such as language translators.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, Science, Engineering or a Technology field
• 12 years of experience with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with PhD.
• 8-10 years of experience in software development; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with AWS
• Advanced knowledge of Java development
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance is required

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Apache NiFi
• Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
• Experience with AWS SQS and Apache Kafka
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
