As the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing all invoices from vendors and following proper methods and procedures to ensure they are paid in a timely manner. In this role, you will clearly communicate with external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Assists in training of new employees for Accounts Payable.
• Receives and reviews payables invoices after ascertaining their accuracy.
• Performs data entry of payables information and work queues to complete payment of invoices, including updating vendor maintenance records.
• Build strong professional relationships with internal customers and vendors to provide superior customer service.
• Contacts vendors and branches to resolve billing discrepancies and other problems related to the delivery of goods.
• Audit incomplete purchase orders and reconcile vendor statements.
• Coordinate weekly check run, run check selection report, pull invoices, print and mail checks.
• Assist with answering telephone inquiries; taking messages; filing; photocopying and typing correspondence as needed.
• Ensure operation of equipment and call for repairs when needed.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include assisting with hiring, interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Working knowledge of Eclipse is preferred.
• Ability to use a PC, ability to work as part of a team, accuracy, computer literacy, and organizational skills are essential in this position.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide mathematical figures.

• The expected rate of pay for this position is $23.45 - $28.00 hourly.
