We are looking for a person who is ready to take the next step to run a leading construction supply company in Seattle with more than 140 employees. The General Manger is primarily responsible for creating and implementing strategies for business growth, revenue, and market position. The ideal candidate has a proactive management approach, and will be in charge of overall operations, different branches, employee oversight, management of contract assets, risk management, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
This person should be willing to travel to other domestic branches to ensure that productivity, sales performance, and customer satisfaction are always exceptional.
Day to Day:
· Manage several departments (sales, production, IT, accounting, finance and HR)
· Develop, communicate, and implement a clear vision of key performance goals and objectives, strategies, philosophies about growth, revenue generation and profitability, customer care agenda, and the performance of staff
· Generate, maintain and review with management, annual, quarterly and monthly revenue statistics (leading and lagging indicators) on financial statistics, productivity rates, customer satisfaction trends and overall improvement trends
· Be hands-on in day-to-day operations including sales performance, sales opportunity management, forecasting, services resourcing, and customer support
· Identify and communicate risks and issues and action on remediation and mitigation plans
· Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality offerings to clients
· Developing new solutions to meet client needs
· Improving internal processes for better productivity
· Managing the budget and monitoring the financial health of the branches
· Authorized to work in the US.
Qualifications:
· In-depth knowledge of construction industry
· Keen strategic thinking and planning
· Understanding of budget management and financial monitoring
· Ability build solid and maintain strong working relationships with clients
· Ability to manage cost control and financial/budget experience handling multiple locations
· Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
· Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorship
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to detail
· Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
· Good time management
· Travel requirement: ~30%
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, or related field, or equivalent business experience preferred
Field and years of experience required:
· 5 or more years of relevant construction industry experience required
· 5 or more years management/supervisory experience required
· Labor relations experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $ 80,000 - $120,000 annually based on experience.
