Our growing team is in need of an additional Bander/Forklift for our busy Seattle plant. Our Production Bander is responsible for operating the machine used to band and package steel. They load and unload materials, adjust settings on the machine, and monitor the production process to ensure that it runs smoothly.

Day to Day:

· Complete forklift inspection every morning before operating forklift.

· Prep and cut pre-determined length from wood 2x4s to use as banding supports.

· Verify length, gauge coloring, and quantity before labeling material.

· Use metal banding and metal corners to secure material for staging in the yard and for transport on flatbed trucks

· After banding is completed, material should be staged in its designated area in the yard based on destination.

· Replace the wood container when full.

· Help empty trash and aerosol barrels.

· Band and recycle scrape on material scrape cart when full.

· Keep the are in and around the banding area outside clean and organized (free of scrape banding plastic, metal, sawdust, and nails)

· Other duties to be assigned by supervisor

What Makes You a Good Fit:

• 1 years production environment experience
• Basic math skills
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds all day
• Exposed to heat, cold, and loud conditions
• Fine manipulation of tools and equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot
• High level of integrity and work ethic
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Forklift experience

MUST be able to pass a drug test and background check
