StatLab is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Mc Kinney, TX

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in month end close processes, preparing journal entries and performing assigned account reconciliations.
  2. Prepares reconciliations of general ledger accounts for multiple ERP systems.
  3. Performs analysis on inventory accounts and cost
  4. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  5. Prepares reports for external audit.
  6. Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts from multiple ERP systems.
  7. Maintain and reconcile the fixed assets of the Company to the financials.
  8. Maintains and balances all intercompany accounts.
  9. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
  10. Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
  11. Participates in special projects, as directed or approved by the Controller..
  12. Ensures that deadlines are met in accordance with closing dates set by management.
  13. Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  14. Performs in a manner consistent with company Core Values and Purpose.
  15. Exercises discretion and independent judgment on significant matters following established accounting principles and best practices.
  16. Attends all scheduled meetings
  17. Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
  18. Provides excellent customer service.
  19. Follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines.
  20. Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.
  21. Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
  22. Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.
  23. Performs all other duties as required.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  1. Bachelor’s in Accounting.
  2. At least three years’ experience in acquisition integration preferred.
  3. At least three years’ experience in accounting and consolidations preferred.
  4. Thorough knowledge of general accounting practices.
  5. Detail oriented and organized.
  6. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  7. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
  8. Skilled in use of computer and software, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  9. Experience with or ability to learn ERP system such as Epicor.
  10. Fluently speak, read, and write English.
  11. Skilled in time management.
  12. Skilled in multi-tasking.
  13. Ability to learn and perform primary functions of positions within department.
  14. Ability to manage stress.
  15. Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, transporting supplies or equipment, sitting for extended periods of time at a desk using a computer, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
  16. Position spends approximately 90% of time sitting at a desk and 10% standing or walking.
  17. Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
  18. Must be able to work from the office and be able to work on time on a regular basis during regular business hours. Hybrid work could be available after the training period. Must be available to work evenings/weekends to meet project deadlines.

This position earns a salary range: $72,000-$92,000 annually plus eligibility for 5% bonus annually and annual merit increases based on performance.
