The State University of New York at Fredonia invites applicants for a full-time, TERM appointed Accounts Payable Analyst (Senior Staff Assistant, SL3) beginning July 10, 2023. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, team-orientated individual wishing to join professional staff in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a competitive salary of $52,000-$57,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of University Accounting, the successful candidate will:
Successfully and timely audit departmental expenditures on a daily basis.
Monitor reimbursement requests, purchases and requisitions to ensure full compliance with all governing regulations. Independently act to resolve and expedite any non-compliant requests.
Audit and approve payment of all travel expenditures (e.g.: employee travel and moving reimbursement, JP Morgan Travel and Non-Employee Travel Cards).
Act as Campus Program Administrator for the JP Morgan Travel and Non-Employee Travel Cards.
Independently identify and reconcile discrepancies (e.g.: employee reimbursement, JP Morgan Travel Card, Non-Employee Travel Card charges, etc.)
Audit, complete and submit campus recharge, Financial Aid, Inter-agency and Intra-Agency expenditure transactions
Independently create and code vouchers in FREDmart (our e-procurement system)
Design and produce reports using database or spreadsheet software including Energy Cap, Jaggaer (FREDmart) and SUNY Business Intelligence ("BI").
Expedite delivery of goods and invoices in an accurate and timely manner
Train new JP Morgan Travel and Non-Employee Travel card holders
Present Accounting and /or Travel information at workshops
Complete Accounting Webpage updates in a timely manner
Assist with creating and updating procedures, both internal and external
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies
Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Possess a positive attitude, the ability to independently set priorities, and ability to meet deadlines and adaptability to continual change
Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively, and in a collegial and professional manner, with vendors, faculty, and staff
The ability to multi-task, meet goals and deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
Background in business/finance/accounting, excellent oral and written communication, analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google, and database applications;
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission;
Experience with instructional technology;
Demonstrated commitment to the university, division, and profession.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 1 - 3 years significant administrative experience;
Experience in higher education business/accounting office;
Experience with an eProcurement system, preferably Jaggaer;
Interest in, and commitment to, community engagement.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, term appointed, position expected to start in July, 2023.
