The Department of Education is home to numerous faculty and staff members dedicated to providing students with engaging and meaningful classes for future educators. We offer five at the undergraduate level, leading to a Master of Science in Education, and four programs leading to an Advanced Certificate. This lecturer position is in the advanced certificate in Educational Leadership, an asynchronous, online program with SUNY Online designation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Chair, the successful candidate will:
Teach via asynchronous, online courses in Educational Leadership at the advanced certificate levels, with involvement in internships;
Contribute to curriculum evaluation, development, and refinement;
Collaborate with colleagues in a process of ongoing data collection, reflection, and improvement to support AAQEP accreditation;
Provide academic advisement to program candidates;
Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and school district partners;
Participate in recruitment activities;
Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Earned master's degree from an accredited institution;
Possess or qualify for administrative certification at the New York State school building (SBL) and school district level (SDL);
Six or more years of combined professional experience as a school principal and school superintendent;
Demonstrated ability to teach successfully at a graduate level;
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of candidates, faculty, staff, and constituents in support of campus and department mission;
Experience with instructional technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in asynchronous, online instruction;
Familiarity with the Professional Standards for Educational Leadership (PSEL) and related professional standards;
Experience in the accreditation process;
Experience with or familiarity with educational leadership internship supervision;
Interest in and commitment to community engagement and school district partnerships.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, temp appointed position beginning Fall 2024, at an annual salary of $48,396 - $53,396 commensurate with experience.
