Seeking a highly self-motivated applicant with the ability to multi-task along with the ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment and provide professional support to both our internal and external customers. Applicants must have strong customer service and communication skills.
This position will recommend, develop, design and implement innovative learning and development programs that support the full employment life cycle, including career development, wellness, and management and leadership development within the Division of Administrative Services, Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation and other supporting agencies under the Department of Homeland Security umbrella.
This position is responsible for tracking and scheduling new hire training within Human Resources for all agencies to ensure employees receive the necessary training to succeed in their roles and improve job skills. Ensure employees receive mandatory training on topics such as safety, diversity, ethic, and EEO.
Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials. Assess employees’ needs for training through various assessment tools.
Create and manage training budget; maintain records and reports of expenses.
Travel will be required as needed.
Remain current on federal and state laws and relevant matters affecting Human
Resources processes to ensure compliance.
Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
