OFFICE SERVICES ASSISTANT
The State of New Jersey seeks an Office Services Assistant who directs callers to the appropriate endpoints for service.
Accurate and professional handling of phone messages is required. This clerical assistant position will be responsible for maintaining and updating staff Outlook calendars, providing backup clerical coverage as requested and functioning as a general assistant who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
SALARY: $50,000 with a comprehensive benefits package offered that includes paid vacation, sick and personal time.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High school graduation or GED completion.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of general administrative/clerical experience, including experience in a high-volume phone call environment with emphasis on excellent customer service. The ideal candidate would be able to expertly manage a multi- line phone system, possess a keen knowledge of the Microsoft Suite and proficiency with Outlook calendars, and have a solid understanding of common office practices. The command of proper grammar usage, spelling and punctuation is necessary. Nothing but complete professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality is acceptable.
