State of Missouri is Hiring a Remote Administrative Project Specialist (4411064)

Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109, Cole County. This position may be eligible for telecommuting at a later date.

Missouri WIC is constantly striving to provide excellent customer service as efficiently as possible as we implement the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Missouri WIC Administrative Unit to develop and update policies and procedures and lead the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process, among other duties. This fast-paced position will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, including federal partners, other state agency staff, local agency staff, and participants. What you’ll do:

  • Research, develop, review, and revise administrative policies and internal procedures
  • Develop and publicize annual WIC Income Eligibility Guidelines document based on UDSA FNS policy guidance
  • Develop and lead the CQI process for WIC
  • Plan, organize, and manage quarterly full staff meetings
  • Coordinate bureau-wide desk manual development to ensure seamless WIC service delivery during any absence
  • Assist with additional administrative projects

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two or more years of professional experience in public health, policy, communications, quality improvement, and/or public or business administration
  • Possess excellent written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex regulations and communicate information in a clear and concise manner
  • Prior experience with the WIC program or other USDA nutrition program is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe) is preferred
