Job Location: This position will be located at I101 N Chestnut St, Jefferson City, MO.

What you’ll do:

• You will be the lead scientist responsible for providing result interpretation, QC data analysis, and troubleshooting in the Lysosomal Storage testing area.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the supervision, performance evaluation and coaching of one scientist in the Newborn Screening Unit.
• Possess the ability to process a large volume of biological samples with accuracy and efficiency.
• Exhibit high attention to detail, strong critical thinking and a high level of commitment.
• The ideal candidate will work well as a team, be expected to meet deadlines and be able to communicate well with coworkers and medical professionals.

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, natural sciences, or a closely related field; and
• Two or more years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience with fluorometric assays is strongly preferred.
