The purpose of this position is to efficiently manage and oversee many complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives within the Division, ensuring that they are executed successfully and communicated clearly. This includes defining project scope, selecting project management approaches, engaging stakeholders, identifying and mitigating risks, prioritizing tasks and maintaining effective, timely communication all while adhering to project management best practices and CDLE compliance standards. This position serves as a senior authority and brings a unique level of technical expertise as an advanced technical project management skills to the Division. This position will apply project management principles to ensure the scope and objectives of a project are agreed to and documented, project schedules (including task assignments and dependencies) are documented and managed, project team members are engaged and successful, risks and issues are identified and “worked”, and the status of the project is effectively communicated to stakeholders.

Minimum QualificationsExperience Only:Eight (8) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position to include: Project management (waterfall, agile, SCRUM), experience in managing technology portfolios, leading teams through software development lifecycle, developing technical systems and policies related to technical systems on behalf of government agencies, operating system on an enterprise/global level involving multi-tier agencies or entities.
OREducation And ExperienceA combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to eight (8) years

  • Experience performing similar duties for governmental technology projects.
