Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly growing business in Conroe as the Manager of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and have above average skills in Microsoft Office as well as excellent administration and organizational skills. We have a solid transition opportunity with the current incumbent retiring but still in place. This is a senior position in the company and reports directly to the president. Essential Job Functions
· Work with Department Leads to enforce all HR policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with management to implement changes in HR policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
· Research compensation standards set by industry and local region.
· Manage hiring and onboarding. Attract good candidates and create short lists for interviews by the Management Team.
· Oversee exit interviews and procedures.
· Manage employee development and appreciation.
· Compliance with applicable employment laws.
· Work with third party administrators and accounting department to administer employee benefit programs.
· Work with accounting to ensure the accuracy of the bi-weekly payroll process.
· Provide applicable safety training topics to department leads for shop employees.
· Comply with OSHA annual posting and reporting.
· Maintain employee training records.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
· Excellent leadership, training, and developmental skills
· Strong decision-making skills
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· Knowledge of labor laws set by governing authorities and organizations.
· Time management and organizational skills
· 5 years HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and a working knowledge of employee insurance coverage, 401K plans and payroll
