Stand 8 is Hiring a Desktop Support Technician Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Details

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and more, including internationally in Mexico, India and Japan.
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing technical support for both PC and MAC environments, with a strong emphasis on data transfer, profile personalization, imaging, and day-to-day operational troubleshooting. This role requires expertise in network and server administration, including WAN and LAN configurations, as well as setting up advanced firewalls, switches, VLANs, and IPSec tunnels.
Responsibilities

  • Provide software and hardware support for PC and MAC systems.
  • Perform data transfer, profile personalization, and imaging tasks.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues on desktops and laptops.
  • Manage network and server configurations, including WAN and LAN setups.
  • Configure advanced firewalls and switches to enhance network security.
  • Support Exchange environments, including migrations and setting up devices and email clients.
  • Assist with domain migrations and VLAN segregation.
  • Maintain and administer MS Windows Server environments (2003/2008/2012).
  • Conduct comprehensive troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and support.
  • Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, global delivery environment.
  • Work independently to deliver results according to expectations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in desktop support roles, with proficiency in both PC and MAC environments.
  • Strong knowledge of data transfer, profile personalization, and imaging processes.
  • Familiarity with network and server administration, including WAN and LAN configurations.
  • Experience setting up advanced firewalls, switches, VLANs, and IPSec tunnels.
  • Proficiency in Exchange support, including migrations and device setup.
  • Administration experience with MS Windows Server (2003/2008/2012).
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $20 - $25/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
