Work Location:

Our office is nestled in the heart of Garden City which provides easy access to major highways, multiple train stations and bus stations. We are conveniently located near the vibrant and historical 7th Street neighborhood, offering a myriad of dining, exercise, and shopping experiences that accommodate and promote professional and personal well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid attorneys in the initial drafting of various documents, which include pleadings, affirmations, discovery, motions, deposition cover guides, etc.
  • Review incoming discovery demands and responses to provide succinct summaries, chronologies, and client reports.
  • Correspond with clients, adversaries, court and business professionals

Requirements:

Our firm is seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications for this role:

  • Familiarity with litigation practice for the life of a case, including basic knowledge of various types of documents such as pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and a general knowledge of state and federal procedures.
  • Exceptional computer skills and high level of comfort using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience using legal databases and case management software. Proficiency in Pro-Law is a plus.
  • Courteous and adaptive interpersonal communication skills for telephone, e-mail, and Zoom conferencing.

Job Type: This is a full-time in-person position. A hybrid schedule request will be considered on a case-by-case basis upon a successful six-month period with the firm.

Pay: The Salary Range for this role is $50,000 – $60,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience with opportunities for performance-based increases and bonuses.
