We are looking for a remote Senior Development Engineer to join our team! If you are a mechanical engineer with 5 years experience, and like doing work that leads to energy efficiency, this job is for you!

We are looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in HVAC. If you have experience in energy engineering and building modeling that's a plus. 

In this role you will be responsible for identifying and developing energy conservation projects for Commercial, Industrial, and Federal sector clients. This provides sustainable, energy-saving opportunities at customer facilities.

This job is remote in Tennessee. It has regular travel across OH, IL, IN, KY, PA, WV or VA. 

Responsibilities:

• Go onsite to customer locations to conduct energy audits
• Do building modeling to identify potential energy conservation upgrades.
• Perform detailed analyses of costs and savings
• Develop preliminary designs and estimates of cost and energy saving opportunities at customer's facilities. Provide technical and implementation recommendations to the customer 
• Support sales team in developing and presenting energy savings proposals to customers 
• Provide periodic status reports to management on project status and/or performance 
• Coordinate project turnover with Project Management 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business-related discipline from an accredited college.
• 5 years of experience in HVAC
• Preferred experience: the evaluation and implementation of energy conservation projects with technical solutions at customer site locations.
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to government facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineering (PE) registration, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and/or LEED Accreditation.
• Experience with industry modeling software programs, such as Carrier Hourly Analysis Program, eQuest, and/or Trane Trace.
• Experience in developing energy conservation projects involving renewable energy technologies, large prime movers such as combustion turbines, biomass, and landfill gas facilities.
