We are looking for a remote Senior Development Engineer to join our team! If you are a mechanical engineer with 5 years experience, and like doing work that leads to energy efficiency, this job is for you!

In this role you will be responsible for developing energy conservation projects that involve HVAC, lighting, and water for Commercial, Industrial, and Federal sector clients. This provides sustainable, energy-saving opportunities at customer facilities.

This job is remote and has travel across OH, IL, IN, KY, PA, WV or VA. 

Responsibilities:

• Go onsite to customer locations to conduct energy audits
• Do building modeling to identify potential energy conservation upgrades.
• Perform detailed analyses of costs and savings
• Develop preliminary designs and estimates of cost and energy saving opportunities at customer's facilities.
• Provide technical and implementation recommendations to the customer 
• Support sales team in developing and presenting energy savings proposals to customers 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business-related discipline from an accredited college.
• 5 years of experience in HVAC
• Preferred experience: the evaluation and implementation of energy conservation projects with technical solutions at customer site locations.
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to government facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineering (PE) registration, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and/or LEED Accreditation.
• Experience with industry modeling software programs, such as Carrier Hourly Analysis Program, eQuest, and/or Trane Trace.
• Experience in developing energy conservation projects involving renewable energy technologies, large prime movers such as combustion turbines, biomass, and landfill gas facilities.
