Job Summary The Senior Network Engineer uses their skills, experience, and judgment to architect, implement, and support high-availability network infrastructure solutions for business-critical services. They may supervise junior engineers, develop, and support a scalable network infrastructure, manage business relationships with Internet Service Providers, and forecast network infrastructure costs. They will integrate open-source, commercial, and locally developed tools as necessary to provide the required outcomes. Essential Job Functions* Engineering and maintaining cellular network connectivity solutions for our field kiosks.Engineering secure cloud network infrastructure for the RDS ecosystem.Develop automation, procedures and documentation to enable operations teams to reduce MTTR for network connectivity incidents.Participation in an on-call and out-of-hours support rotation.Troubleshooting of complex network connectivity issues. Developing and maintaining business relationships with ISPs.Troubleshooting and network design guidance for cloud-based services for RDS products.Maintaining a broad knowledge of hardware and software solutions, and making recommendations in improving administration, availability, scalability, and disaster recovery of networks and hosted services.Documenting network, systems design, configuration, and administration items for the purposes of educating team members as well as compliance requirements.Supporting Developers and DevOps teams to ensure connectivity needs for upcoming and existing service needs are met *This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
