Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting while adhering to US GAAP standards. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be key in supporting various financial functions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and account reconciliations with precision.
- Generate insightful cost center analyses on a quarterly basis.
- Coordinate the preparation of Account Payable transmittal forms.
- Assist in crafting annual budgets for diverse cost centers.
- Collaborate with the team to facilitate the external audit process.
- Research and implement technical accounting guidance under US GAAP.
- Contribute to the documentation of accounting processes and procedures.
- Support annual budget preparation and perform monthly invoicing tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting under US GAAP.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly broker-dealer environments, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Sage AccPac, and Outlook.
- Strong multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and dedication in previous roles.
- 4 years of GAAP accounting experience
- ERP GL proficiency, Sage Intacct preferred
