St Michael is Hiring a Procurement Specialist (Hybrid) Near Tampa, FL

St. Michael’s Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Procurement Analyst in the Tampa, FL area in support of a large defense organization. The selected candidate shall assist in providing end-to-end federal procurement analysis services to the client, must possess an uncompromising work ethic, and be able to align with St. Michael’s core values of Excellence in Reputation, Candor, Commitment, Teamwork, and Dependability.

Location: Tampa, FL (must live local to Tampa - in the office 2-3 days per week)

Active Clearance required: Secret

Required: 

  • DAWIA Level II or equivalent certification in federal contracting. Equivalent knowledge & experience may be substituted for a certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 5 years of experience performing Department of Defense services acquisition-related functions, including pre-solicitation, pre-award, post-award, and contract closeout activities.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation (FPDS-NG), and other DOD contract action reporting tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint.
  • Experience creating custom and standard management reports.
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and executing Procurement Management Reviews, Government Purchase Card Program, Contracting Specialist Training Programs, Budget, and Management Internal Control Program (MICP).

Duties Include:

  • Investigate and Identify deficiencies or weaknesses in current Federal, DoD, and USSOCOM acquisition policies.
  • Research, analyze, recommend, and draft acquisition subject matter expert level documentation to support command procurement policy. Prepare documents in the format required by the FAR, DFARS, and Special Operations FARS (SOFARS).
  • Analyze facts, figures, problems, etc. independently and develop recommended courses of action including drafting procurement instructions and/or directives.
  • Prepare spreadsheets or other forms of electronic graphic media to include charts and other documentation and respond to requests for data.
  • Gather quarterly metrics data from USSOCOM Contracting offices including processing, compiling and preparing for submission the quarterly verification and validation report and 2.5% contract file review.
  • Provide administrative and technical support as needed to assist in the planning, coordinating, conducting, executing, etc. all aspects of the contracting training program, which includes the annual Directorate of Procurement Collaboration and Training Summit (CATS).
  • Provide administrative and technical support to assist in the planning, coordinating, conducting, executing all aspects of the Procurement Directorate’s Procurement Management Review (PMR) program to include drafting PMR reports, the Government Purchase Card (GPC) program to include drafting GPC reports, the Training Program, Budget, the Management Internal Control Program (MICP), etc.
  • Assist the contracting office with Freedom of Information Act requests.
  • Assist the Contracting Officer with contract closeout support services for all types of contracts.
