YOU MUST HAVE VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE (CDL PREFERRED) AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD TO BE CONSIDERED

Responsible for the maintenance and repair work for the buildings and grounds that encompass the Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church and School Campus. This is a full time position with the opportunity for overtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and maintain cleanliness of campus
• Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities on the campus including, but not limited to painting, drywall, bio-hazard clean up, interior and exterior lighting
• Working with outside contractors in the areas of AC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
• Maintain the outdoor campus areas, i.e., general cleaning such as leaf blowing or sweeping, etc.
• Assist in directing the traffic flow in and out of the campus
• Assist security in the monitoring of vehicles on campus
• Assist teachers in classroom maintenance, such as hanging bulletin board or lifting materials, or moving of furniture
• Opening and closing of facilities
• Assist in set up and preparation for functions before and after school and on the weekends
• Requires trouble shooting abilities for a variety of equipment
• May be required to drive a school bus on occasion

Physical Demands

Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.

Education/Experience Required

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-3 years’ experience in building and mechanical maintenance and repair
• Good skills in the use of hand and power tools
• Technical School certifications &/or training preferred
• Valid Florida Driver License
• CDL preferred

Schedule: Hours and days vary from week to week depending upon need.
