St Mark's Episcopal Church and School is Hiring a Private School Spanish Teacher starting August 2024 Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

YOU MUST HAVE TEACHING EXPERIENCE WITH CHILDREN TO BE CONSIDERED

SAINT MARKS IS SEEKING A ENGAGING AND DYNAMIC SPANISH TEACHER FOR OUR PREK AND LOWER SCHOOL STUDENTS.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (in Education preferred), State Certification or Statement of Eligibility Computer Skills: Google Suite and Renweb

FUNCTION: Plan, implement, and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with St. Mark’s mission and philosophy.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach oral and written Spanish to PK2 through 2nd grade students
  • Create and update grade-and course-specific curriculum maps to ensure all required subject matter is covered during the school year.
  • Develop weekly lesson plans based on required components as well as individual class needs.
  • Tailor lesson plans to individual students or classes as needed
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management and develop student behavior modification techniques.
  • Maintain effective and timely two-way communication with parents regarding their children’s progress, performance, and areas of concern, and schedule parent conferences as required.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate grades on an ongoing basis and meet report card deadlines using Renweb.
  • Incorporate interactive technology into the classroom as available and needed.
  • Conduct formal and informal group assessments for Lower School Students.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned (ex. drop-off, lunch, pick-up, etc).
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to learn and utilize tools and techniques that improve classroom effectiveness.
  • Support recruitment and re-enrollment efforts.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
