The purpose of this position is to establish and maintain systems that are effective and efficient to operate the facility in a manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements. Determine the personnel requirements of the facility and hire or arrange for sufficient staff to implement the facility policies and procedures. Develop a monitoring system to assure compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
Prefers a Bachelors Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or a health related degree or equivalent. Minimum of five (5) years administrative management experience in a similar facility environment. Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years experience in a supervisory capacity. Must possess a current, unencumbered Administrator’s license or meet the licensure requirements of this state, if applicable.

Must have cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as a willingness to deal with residents, staff, and visitors at various maturity levels. Must be able to maintain good staff relations and employee morale. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation. Must be able to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc. to staff, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies/personnel. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
