St. Bernard is seeking a Registered Nurse of Employee Health Services (EHS) who provides direct and indirect nursing care for St. Bernard Hospital employees, with particular emphasis in the area of occupational health. The Registered Nurse utilizes established protocols and current standards of care to meet the wide variety of health care needs of the STBH employee population.
This role will assist with the Worker's Compensation program, development and implementation of department goals, and assisting with updating and creation of Employee Health policies. This position will maintain and prepare employee files and logs pertaining to OSHA, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies to meet and maintain compliance standards.
The Registered Nurse of Employee Health assumes responsibility and accountability for the nursing care given, and assigns tasks and direction to staff accordingly. Nursing care is individualized to meet the changing needs of each employee and is based on knowledge, skills, and standard of care. Nursing care is organized through the utilization of nursing processes and a written plan of care. This position reports to the Director of Infection Prevention.
