Job Description
A social worker is responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals and families who are experiencing social, emotional, or financial difficulties. The social worker will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop a plan of action, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to determine client needs and develop a plan of action
- Provide counseling and support to clients and their families
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and services
- Advocate for clients and their needs
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and educators, to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or related field
- Licensure as a social worker in the state of Michigan
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
