Survey Project Manager

Position Overview:
The Survey Project Manager is a dynamic leader and adept business administrator. The successful candidate will skillfully organize projects, efficiently allocate resources, manage budgets, oversee project logistics, and consistently deliver high-quality results to our valued clients. This is a hybrid role based in Cary, NC.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Develop, implement, and lead projects through their complete lifecycle, from proposal to delivery.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to comprehend business requirements and work closely with the project team to define project scope, budget estimates, schedules, and deliverables.
Precision and Accuracy: Ensure the precision and timely delivery of plans and proposals.
Client Engagement: Be prepared to travel frequently to client locations for onsite kickoff meetings, progress updates, and deliverable discussions.
Project Initiation: Establish new projects, create project work plans, and identify resource needs.
Team Coordination: Efficiently organize teams and tasks to keep projects on track.
Supervision: Oversee the project team throughout the application design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
Budget Oversight: Determine project scope, fees, and budgets, closely monitoring and controlling project expenses within allocated budgets.
Client Updates: Provide regular, comprehensive updates to clients on project progress.
Quality Assurance: Manage risk, change control, and quality control/assurance activities effectively.
Financial Management: Handle project invoicing and provide projections to company leadership and Practice Area Lead.
Customer Service: Respond professionally and promptly to customer inquiries.
CAD Mapping: Oversee CAD mapping of survey projects from initial planning to final client delivery, occasionally engaging in CAD mapping tasks.
Standards Implementation: Implement our standards for survey production, CAD templates, quality control checklists, and procedures.
Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to both field and office teams.
Assist Practice Area Lead: Assist the Practice Area Lead in various project planning and management tasks, including estimating, scheduling, equipment, and supply inventories.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Land Surveying
Certification: PLS (Professional Land Surveyor) certification preferred.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience and training related to hiring, scheduling, disciplining, and evaluating employees.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal supervision.
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge and understanding of land surveying data collection methods and software.
Working Conditions:
The role may occasionally involve evening/weekend work and outdoor job site visits. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-focused environment.
