Job Description:

As a Registered Architect working out of our Staten Island, NY office, you will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of architectural projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to deliver innovative and functional solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design process from concept development to construction documentation and administration.
  • Develop creative and practical design solutions that align with client requirements, budget constraints, and regulatory standards.
  • Produce accurate drawings, specifications, and renderings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and gather relevant information for project planning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into the architectural design.
  • Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and material samples to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members, interns, and drafters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address project-related issues and ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Architect (RA) license in the state of New York.
  • Familiarity with New York City Department of Buildings required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation (preferred).
