What we need
We are looking for a Marketing Director to be in charge of the organization’s marketing ventures. This primarily involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the company’s market presence and help it find a “voice” that will make a difference. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, able to employ unique marketing techniques. He/She will be a skilled marketing strategist and able to drive creativity and enthusiasm through the marketing team and across the company. We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual who is interested in making a strong impact, and attaining significant growth within the organization.
The goal is to increase the company’s market share and maximize revenues to thrive against competitors. The individual will develop and execute modern marketing tactics to strengthen our brand, enable sales and channel partners, drive demand for net new customer acquisition and installed base upsell / cross sell. The Director of Marketing will play a key role in driving effectiveness of the sales team through the delivery of a robust pipeline of MQL’s. The successful candidate will also be capable of driving cross-functional initiatives to secure companywide goals focused on pipeline development, and progression.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Drive lead generation and opportunity conversion by helping customers find Spectralink products as a solution for their needs, utilizing innovative content creation, digital media and social media marketing.
  • Drive change as we evolve the marketing mix spend: PR / AR, Events, and awareness marketing to digital demand gen marketing.
  • Cultivate an exceptional marketing team via responsible team management, owning Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Social Marketing, and regional Channel & Field Marketing.
  • Translate product positioning and financial value propositions into compelling marketing messages to internal and external audiences.
  • Marketing point of contact supporting our Channel team, as well as leading joint marketing efforts through identified strategic partners.
  • Marketing department budget management and coordination with finance partners, maintaining alignment with key vendors
  • Improving market share and revenue levels for key market segments through focused market segment development and penetration.
  • Establish industry mindshare leadership to improve social network, media coverage, and obtain stronger portfolio and business ratings within analyst reports.
  • Drive market awareness and generate opportunities through social, PR relations, editorials, whitepapers, tradeshows/conferences, customer seminars.
  • Planning and implementation of digital marketing campaigns utilizing tactics including drip/nurture programs, search engine marketing, online advertising and other lead and demand generation activities.
  • Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain a data-driven approach through continual experimentation and optimization (a/b testing, etc.) to maximize overall results.
  • Provide competitive analysis, market share and positioning to all customer facing teams.
  • Understand and communicate emerging trends and market opportunities and create penetration strategies to leverage when appropriate.
What you need to have
  • 7 - 10 years’ experience in a senior Marketing operations role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required MBA a plus.
  • Requires strong background in demand generation, channel and field marketing
  • Experience recruiting and managing teams in multiple geographies.
  • Solid experience managing PR and/or communications.
  • Experience in a B2B, enterprise focused company, preferably a start-up or turn- around company. Prefer high tech hardware experience, but not required.
  • Familiar with healthcare and retail, manufacturing or hospitality verticals. Experience marketing into these verticals a plus.
  • Strong understanding of a multi-channel sales go to market model; Two Tier [Distributor to VAR] and also direct to end customer.
  • Proven experience in Channel Marketing
  • Content marketing experience in a high tech B2B environment. Understanding of the role of content and ability to recommend and manage appropriate content that maps to the purchase decision funnel, direct and through reselling partners. Strong preference for those with experience in telecom technology
  • Experience working in fluid environments characterized by evolving roles, and able to support, and drive clarity of responsibilities based on growing business needs.
  • Comfortable working as both a player / coach – owning individual contributor program deliverables as well as team management.
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors, agencies and contractors. Experience with RFP to decision processes when selecting outside firms. Strong list of Colorado front range marketing services resources [ contractors, agencies, etc. ] preferred.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, and strong CRM experience. Experience with salesforce.com, 6sense and Pardot highly desirable.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a data driven mindset. Must have the ability to analyze metrics and data and respond accordingly.
  • Comfortable working across all levels of the organization from briefings with the CEO to onboarding of individual contributor and new hires

Location: Boulder, CO (Relocation assistance available for anyone looking for 300 days of sunshine)
