SpecChem, LLC is Hiring a Customer Experience Specialist Near Kansas, MO

SpecChem manufactures specialty concrete chemicals, cementitious repair products, and epoxies throughout the United States in its six manufacturing facilities. SpecChem supplies and services the concrete distributor network with quality construction products that provide performance and value to the industry.
The Customer Experience Specialist position is a critical member of our corporate team located in the Crossroads district of downtown Kansas City, MO. Responsibilities include providing SpecChem service information to external customers and communicating internally with operations, accounting, and sales. SpecChem is a high energy culture that focuses on providing the highest quality of customer service.
The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is an absolute necessity. Helping in other areas as daily business/operational needs necessitate is simply part of our culture.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating accurate information and recommending relevant products and services.
  • Accurately enter customer orders into the system.
  • Communicate shipping details and order confirmations to customers and SpecChem sales managers.
  • Maintain customer records and account information with utmost accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Resolve any product or service-related issues by actively listening to customer concerns, identifying the root cause of the problem, and promptly escalating the matter to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Process customer adjustments and ensure accurate financial account maintenance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on customer information, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the success of the SpecChem team by actively participating in team meetings and sharing insights and ideas.
Experience/Education:
  • 1 – 3 years previous work experience
  • Associate degree or higher required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Have a passion for excellence and a desire to do great work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team/collaborative mindset a must.
  • Self-starter able to multi-task under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are required.
  • Knack for effective communication and problem resolution with both internal and external customers.
  • Basic computer, documentation, listening, phone, conflict resolution, and information analysis skills are required.
