The Work You’ll Do

The Technical Accounting Manager is responsible for the assessment of all technical accounting matters, including post-acquisition purchase accounting, integration and revenue recognition. You will interact closely with members of the finance, corporate development and legal teams, along with independent auditors to ensure accurate reporting and full compliance with all external standards. You will also assist in special projects and process improvements. 

More specifically you will:

• Interpret and implement new accounting guidance 
• Perform and/or review certain technical accounting month-end and quarterly-end procedures 
• Assist in development of proper presentation and disclosures of complex accounting issues for internal and external financial reporting 
• Coordinate and assist with the annual impairment testing on goodwill and indefinite useful life intangibles 
• Assist in preparation of the Company’s annual report 
• Serve as project manager for the Company’s external audit and ensure execution of the interim and year-end phases external audit 
• Perform quality control review of audit support documentation submitted by regional accounting departments 
• Author accounting policies and lead the creation of standardized accounting policies and procedures 
• Perform and enhance customer and vendor contract review process for accounting and finance considerations 
• Perform company-wide assessments over the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement 
• Communicate effectively across the various finance teams regarding accounting policies, processes and internal controls 
• Assist in ad hoc accounting, financial, and investor relations analyses as requested 
• Assist with special projects to drive process improvement and transformation of the finance function 
• Assist with integration and systems migration of acquired businesses as needed 
• Assist Global Tax Department and Group Accounting where necessary 

What We Need From You: 

• Active CPA required 
• Minimum of 5 years Accounting experience 
• Public accounting required; mix of public and private preferred 
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, experience with SEC reporting and SOX a plus 
• Understanding of software industry accounting, including revenue recognition 
• Ability to research accounting literature and reach conclusions 
• Strong understanding of internal control concepts, including documentation requirements 
• Strong systems experience including Microsoft Office, NetSuite or other ERP, Adaptive and SalesForce 
• Ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-directed, independent thinker 
• Ideal candidates based in Atlanta, Georgia 
• Due to client contractual obligations– the successful candidate will have to clear a background check and drug test
