ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, SWIC Educational Employees position of Administrative Assistant to High School Partnerships.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position provides a wide range of secretarial services within the High School Partnership division. The work is highly responsible and complex. It involves the performance of delegated administrative work which relieves the supervisor of administrative details. There is extensive contact with current faculty and staff, public school faculty, community members, and public agencies. The work requires considerable knowledge of college policies and procedures and the exercise of independent judgment, discretion, and initiative based on that knowledge. Works under general direction of the Associate Director of High School Partnerships. Work is performed with a minimum of supervision. Evening and off-site assignments are required. The work is reviewed for adherence to college policy and procedure and for achievement of desired results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma/GED plus 4 years of related full-time work experience OR Associate degree with 2 years of full-time experience is required.

2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required and PeopleSoft is preferred.

SALARY: Grade 5 at $33,472 per year.
