Title/Position: Portfolio Manager

Location: Steiner Ranch/Southwest Austin

Full Time

Responsible for providing support to assigned Loan Officers, assisting with the preparation of Loan Approval Memorandum, loan closings backup and post-closing loan servicing and back up loan set up as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two to three years Lending/Banking experience
• Personal computer skills; Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Internet/Outlook
• Good interpersonal skills and knowledge or appropriate customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff, management, and customers
• Organized and detail oriented and motivated self-starter
• Ability to maintain confidential information

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Loan Officers with underwriting & closing loans to include preparing LAM’s and other documents for Loan Approvals, and follow up with clients to collect missing or needed documentation for loan files
• Assist Loan Officer with existing and new client relationships in any way that is needed
• Assist branch lending team (consumer & commercial) in a back-up support capacity as needed

DAILY

Assist Branch Manager as needed and other Loan Officers as directed by Branch Manager or Commercial Loan Closing Manager in loan closing, funding, customer service, or other duties as requested. These duties could include but are not limited to the following:

• Set up new loan file and assist assigned Loan Officers with gathering all documents needed to for loan approvals, LAM preparation & monitoring file/relationship through closing
• Review loans in process files to ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance with Bank policies, procedures, and compliance related issues
• Maintain organized Work Flow Files and assist closing with pre-funding review of loan file to ensure documents are ready for execution and that all conditions/exception items have been resolved
• Provide customer service to clients and respond to all customer inquiries regarding loan status, payments, etc.
• Promote business for Bank by maintaining good customer relations and by referring customers to new services

WEEKLY

• Follow up with new or existing loan clients on missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation
• Review tickler and exception reports on past due and maturing loans, and collect required financial reports, insurance, property tax receipts, etc.
• Submit pipeline reporting on status of all active files

AS NEEDED

• Process advances on lines of credits and commercial and residential real estate construction and collect all necessary lien waivers, draw documents, invoices, and other supporting documents
• Order credit reports online as needed and prepare Notice to borrowers in compliance with Bank’s RBPN Policy and Procedures
• Perform all pre-funding requirements and send to appropriate staff for approval prior to closing
• Perform other real estate processing duties as needed including ordering appraisals, environmental reports, and opening title with title companies
• Order flood determinations and mail notice (as applicable) to borrowers in accordance with bank policy
• UCC searches with Secretary of State in accordance with bank policy before closing/funding loan
• Order, review, and analyze collateral and entity related documents and highlight all exceptions to be cleared prior to closing

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and identify solutions. Ability to interpret loan policy & regulatory requirements and make operating decisions that enforce compliance.
